New York Times
Synopsis
Starring Keith Carradine, and the legendary Hume Cronyn and Jessica Tandy, who won a Tony for her performance as Annie Nations on Broadway.
Foxfire is the story of Annie Nations, the last of a dying breed of old timers in the Blue Ridge Mountains, who must decide whether its better to die alone on the land her late husband spent his whole life working, or leave the ghosts of her past and move to Florida with their son, Dilliard, a successful country singer, who seems to have already sold out his heritage in order to make a buck. The story chronicles the conflict between tradition and progress through homespun stories and song.
